Utah Vacation Ogden Railroad Museum

So on the way out of Utah we stopped and got gas in Ogden. As we were driving back to the freeway we found this really cool train museum. so here are some pictures from that!

Utah Vacation Hogle Zoo

While we were in utah we decided to go to the zoo. It was so much fun taking the kids to see the animals. THere was a lion water fountain there thatif I remember right my grandmother has a picture of her and my mom at it. So I had to have a picture of my boys at it.I really loved the elephants. They had a momma and a baby elephant that were absolutly adorable. So here are some pictures of that.

Utah Vacation Temple Square

Wow it has been A while since I have blogged. But my life has been pretty hectic lately. We just got back from a vaction in utah. It was so nice to be in a dryer climate. My allegeries disappered while I was there and then hit me full throtle when I came back to Oregon. We are trying to move to utah which is why we went. But we had fun while stephen was job hunting. We Spent an entire day on Temple Square in Salt Lake. That was amazing. Benjamin and Alex really loved seeing the Salt Lake Temple. It was a lot of fun Going to see the conference center and looking out over the valley on the observation deck in the Church office building. I had forgotton how pretty the Joseph Smith memorial building really was. The boys loved playing at the church history museum. By the time we were done with temple square it was 9:00 at night. I think my favorite part of being at tample square though was when we went to the legacy theater in the Joseph Smith Memorial building and watched Joseph smith the prophet. It was told though the words of his mother. We came to the part were the mob was tormenting joseph and benji quit loudly said "those are bad guys" my husband and I cracked up and so did the people around us. Cabin Fever

Wow I cannot believe that it is January already. Welcome 2012! This last week I have beeen having a serous case of Cabin Fever. My Boys got a case of The Chicken pox. So we have been in quareenteen and stuck in the house because it has been snowing and now it has been raining so much that Salem and most of the Willamette Valley is Flooding! Oh Joy! So I have had the song Cabin Fever from the Muppets Treasure Island running though my head the last couple of Days!
Benjamin has been really good about the Chicken pox but Alex is such a grump. Alex dose not make a very good patient! He has been so grumpy and he does not want to sleep at night unless it is on top of me! So I have not had very much sleep the last week or so. But the boys do seem to be recovering! So hopefully I will be out of quarenteen soon! I canoot wait to be able to get out of the house! Hopefully it will stop raining soon!

Christmas Time is here

I cannot believe that it is Christmas time already! I have been done with my Christmas shopping since the middle of october! So the Holiday have been a lot less stressful this year. It is so nice not having to be out and about in the Christmas crowds. I have the opportunity to watch a cute little 2 month old little girl a couple times a week. It is so fun seeing by sons interact with her! Yesterday she was fussing becasue she was hungry so I had to go fix her her bottle and while I was doing that Benjamin came a long and kept her company and gave her her binkie. It was so fun watching him interact with her. He was so gentle about it. Alex is good about inteacting with her as well! SO this is a good experience for my boys and it gives me a little extra spending money as well! But on the other hand it also makes me grateful that I don't have a third child. exspecially when all three of them are yelling at me like they were a couple of days a go. This way I get my baby fix and then at night I can send her home with her mommy!
I am working on a fun project about collecting Christmas tradtions and it is a lot of fun. I am still collecting stuff for it but it has given me a lot to think about!
I really like this time of year because I like feeling the Christmas spirit! I am so thankful for my Savior and for his love for us.

Crazy Black Friday Madness

Okay I admit I was crazy this year and actually went out at midnight to go to Target. It was funny I have never done the Black Friday madness Before. Usually I was one of the poor workers who had to deal with the crazy people out at insane hours. I Had never been one of the crazy people out at the insane hour. But Target Had a special deal on a pair of Slippers that I wanted. So I left the house at 12:30 last night and got to target and the line was all the way around the outside of the store. So I got to seee the back side of target that I normally Do not See. But the Line moved fairly quickily. I think I might Have had more fun if I had some one to talk to. But That is alright. Thank heavens for cell phones. I just called Stephen and that helped pass the time till I got in the Store. When I got in the store There were tons of people just milling around. Unfortunaly I could not find a cart so I had to cary all the things that I found. THen I had to wait in line for 40 or fifty minuters to check out. The Line to check out started at the end of the store where the food was and wound its way down all the isles towards check out. It was a good marketing scheme for Target because as people waited in line they would see something they needed and pick it up as they were waiting to check out. So after standing in line for 40 or 50 minutes By the time I got to the check out counter my arms and hands fell had fallen asleep from holding the items I bought. So I had a hard time siging the receipt because my hands were Asleep. I got home at 2:30 in the morning.
Stephen and the Kids let me sleep in this morning which was nice. Then at lunch time we went to fred meyers and to Toys R us. THe crowd was not as crazy as it was at midnight. So that was nice. AS for doing Black friday Again. I do not think that I will. One time is enough to just say I have done it I don't need to do it again!.

Happy Birthday Benjamin!

Today my Benji is 5. It is so much fun watching my little One grow up. He is able to ride his bike with out training wheels. It is so funny. His friend who is a week older then him refuses to get off his training wheels but Benjamin has been riding with out training wheels for almost 3 weeks. He is learning his letters. He knows his colors and he likes looking at books and telling himself stories. I am so glad that he is in my life! Happy Birthday Benjamin!
